The Training Division is responsible for new recruit training and continued education for Firefighters seeking State certification. The Department takes new applications multiple times a year and provides experience and education through the Williamson County Fire Academy which is provided through a county cooperative between the Training Division, EMA, Franklin and Brentwood Fire Departments. The academy gives recruits over 100 hours of basic firefighting education preparing them for State certification. All instructors are Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy Credentialed Instructors (ACI).
