One of the Department's highest priorities is providing Public Fire Safety Education throughout the county.  You may have seen us at your child's school, at a birthday party or at a grand opening or other event.  It is through these occasions that the department promotes fire safety education to the children, adults, and senior citizens of this county.  The Division of Fire Prevention is responsible for coordinating these events throughout the year.  Included among the many public relations and education services provided are: Fire Safety talks and fire engine demonstrations for children, Mother's Day Out programs, Fire safety in the home presentations for adults, fire station tours, and grand opening appearances.  If you would like the Squad to come to your school, work, business, or other special event, contact the Division of Fire Prevention at (615) 721-3027 or use the online form below and request to schedule a public education event.
