Chase's Auto-Bio: Chase was born and raised in the Grassland community and graduated from Brentwood High School. "My Grandfather was the Fire Chief of a volunteer department in East Tennessee. I have been fascinated with the fire service since I was about 5 years old. I submitted my application to join the WCRS on my 18th birthday and officially became a member in June of 2003. I am currently employed by FORBA Dental Management where I serve as the Director of Construction."
What made you want to join the Squad? When I was 9 years old, I was playing in a little league baseball game one night on the field next to Grassland Middle School. I remember seeing Engine 22 going down Hillsboro Road with its lights on and siren wailing. I told myself, "one day I'm going to be on that truck." Well I got my shot almost 9 years later when I ran into a buddy of mines parents at dinner. When I asked them what Andy had been up to, they told me he was a volunteer firefighter at Station 22 in Grassland. I stopped by Station 22 a few days later and the rest is history.
What is your favorite thing about the Squad? My favorite thing about the Squad are the members. I have made some great friendships over the last 5 1/2 years and when it comes down to it, I love battling fires with these guys. It's an honor to work with such a great group of individuals who unselfishly dedicate their time day in and day out to protect the citizens of Williamson County. I look forward to many more years of service with this great Department.
Chase's Favorite aspect of the fire service: The camaraderie among the members of the fire service is truely unique. We all share a common passion for the job that we do. It doesn't matter where you are in the world, if you walk up to a fire house and tell the members you are a firefighter, they welcome you as if you are one of their own.
